Swedish VAT numbers (momsnummer) are 12 digits long, derived from the Swedish organisation number by adding '01' at the end. Sweden is a major B2B market and home to many global tech companies including Spotify, King, and Klarna.
The Sweden Momsnummer is administered by the national tax authority and validated through the EU VIES system. Before applying any VAT rate or zero-rate exemption to a Sweden business customer, validate their VAT registration number first.
